Complex Carbohydrates
Complex carbohydrates are starting to become more widely talked about. Which is good, because complex carbohydrates are what you should really focus on and try to understand.
Getting To The Bottom Of Some Seriously Complex Carbohydrates
Dieting is not always open and shut.
These fads that come up every so often brand things as if they are simple.
Yet by and large, being a healthy eater and person is a process that's surprisingly complex. Carbohydrates, for instance, are dragged through the mud on a frequent basis as something you should eliminate from your life altogether. Low carb this. Low carb that. South Beach this. Atkins that. Come on, people. You have to understand complex carbohydrates and wrap your brain around the fact that not everything is so darn simple. If you could cut all bread out of your life and become radically thinner with no adverse consequences, wouldn't everyone have done that long ago? Wouldn't all bread companies be out of business by now? For the most part, bread and most sources of carbs are good for you. In moderation. Just like everything else.
Do not fall for the quick fix hype.
Understand complex carbohydrates and how you can be a healthier person overall.
Sadly for some people, you have to really work at it if you wish to lose weight and live a long and healthy life. Rather than falling for the marketing gimmicks of these big diet "gurus," why don't you understand what complex carbohydrates are really all about, and how you can manage a reasonable amount of carbs and proteins and everything else you need. Think about for a second. Do you think that eliminating bread and eating pounds and pounds of smoked bacon is really the way to get healthy? Maybe it's a way to shed a pound or two for a week, until it comes roaring back with reinforcements. Don't go for the garbage that these PR hounds try to ram down your throats. Literally. Carbohydrates are not the enemy. The only enemy here is pure ignorance.
Moderating what you eat, from the ingredients to the portion size, plus exercise, is the way to be healthy.
An understanding and monitoring of your intake of complex carbohydrates is only part of the equation.
