- Then consider some low carb recipes. There are a million yummy things you could cook up that are a little lighter on the carbs but just as high on the taste. Like bacon and eggs. You can make those. There are no carbs there. How about a wrap instead of a huge grinder roll. (SIDE NOTE: Why people in some parts of the U.S. call them grinders, hoagies, et cetera, I will never understand. Isn't it just a sub, as in "submarine" sandwich? What the hell is a grinder?)
- How about a big bowl of ice cream? There is your recipe for the day. You see, what's great about low carb recipes is that they let you indulge as much as you want with things as long as they have no carbohydrates. So you are pretty much good to go with some of your biggest pleasures, so long as they meet the requisite criteria.
Of course, that doesn't mean that low carb recipes are the cure-all for your huge beer gut, or that nothing bad will come of overdoing it. You see, a pound of bacon every morning is not going to do you a lot of good as far as avoiding a heart attack. Feel me?
