Finding a plan that works
Not every low carb diet plan will work the same for all people, that is why you need to take the time and find out about all of the plans that are used today. Some of the plans today are very different than the ones that were so popular some years ago. Today, your average low carb diet plan takes the health of the body much more into account, instead of just quick (and temporary) weight loss in a very short period of time. The vast majority of those that tried to lose weight with a low carb diet plan failed, mainly because one cannot keep those kinds of diets up for long and when you go back to your old ways of eating, how could you not gain back all of the weight?
And makes sense
If you follow a low carb diet plan that allows you to eat unlimited amounts of things like bacon and eggs, and it does not advise that the dieter also get a fair amount of exercise everyday - doesn't it follow that your overall health would suffer? But, unfortunately, in our continuing pursuit for the easy button, we are often easily influenced and willing to believe any number of things. The fact is that we have yet to find that elusive "easy button" and so until we do, we are going to have to come to the realization that some things do require some work and dedication. Weight-loss is one of those things that does require the aformentioned as well as some patience.
Studies have shown, time and time again, that the longer it takes the weight to come off, the better are our chances of keeping the weight off in the long run. And that is the whole point, isn't it? We need to find the low carb diet plan that is devoted to the health of the whole body. It should encourage eating complex carbohydrates as a part of a balanced diet. And it should also point out the importance of regular exercise. It is a lifestyle change and not a quick fix.
