	<title>Low Carb Diets</title>
	<description>
The faster you lose the weight, the more likely you are to gain it all back and then some. The best thing that you can do for yourself is to find the low carb diets that treat the diet as a total lifestyle change. We cannot expect to lose weight by fad diets that help you to shave a few pounds in a few days. Once you get off one of those low carb diets you are sure to gain the weight back because you will be going back to the same lifestyle that you had before. In order to take the weight off and then to maintain your ideal weight after the fact, you need to commit yourself to the idea that a lifestyle change is what you need.

Low carb diets as a road to total lifestyle change
It is not the carbs that we are eating that are bad. In fact, we need them to maintain optimum health as they are our primary source of energy and they are also essential to the proper functioning of the digestive system. We have been told by all of the previous low carb diets that they are bad and that we need to cut them out of diets, at least to a certain extent. But, these same low carb diets did not make any distinction between good and bad carbs.

The bad carbs are the ones that are making us such an obese nation. They can be found in many of the baked goods that we buy, such as cakes and many types of bread that contain white flour. Also they are present in much of the fast food that some of us make a habit of eating on a regular basis. This type of carb is basically just pure empty calories with absolutely no nutritional value, they go to the hips, the bottom, and the waist, and are very difficult to get rid of.

On the other hand, good carbs are the one that we should be concentrating on. These are the carbs that give our bodies the energy that we need to get through our day and our exercises. They also contain much needed fiber that keeps everything regular in our digestive tract. No need to avoid low carb diets, you just have to chose wisely.
